The Invisible Life
I walk down the street every day,
you do not see my flame,
I have experienced that look every which way,
you who needs someone to blame,
I look into your eyes and all I see is shame,
you start looking for love with no name.
I walk down the street every day,
you do not see my prayer,
I have experienced the weight of pay,
you who see's a drain and offer no prayer,
I look into your eyes and still I pray,
you start looking but find nothing to say.
I walk down the street every day,
you do not see my pain,
I have experienced this world not in vain,
you who can not see beauty in rain,
I look into your eyes and see a soul slain,
you start looking at me, but your kept in place by your chain.
Make a change.
