The Inner Struggle

Overwhelming feelings Suffocating thoughts Everything I am.... Everything I'm not.... Heart beats fast.. Anticipation flows. Where this road leads, only God knows. Part of me is broken, feeling torn and lost. But the Lord has spoken, filling all my thoughts. I hear a feeble whisper through my crippled dreams. Hope begins to warm my face, though I'm tearing at the seams... The seams that hold in salty tears and hurtful thoughts throughout the years, The seams that hold in self-rejection, loss of hope and introspection. Flow from me my hateful thoughts, rest at Jesus' feet. May He cleanse this buried pain, this hurt, and self-defeat.
