The Impending Doctor's Visit
What will he say?
Will he be kind and caring
or in a hurry, without compassion?
Am I in serious trouble
or will this be routine?
I'm nervous
like a woman waiting
to go into labour.
She's had many children
but this one feels different
somehow unusual.
Will that cry
be the baby's or the mother's?
