The Hunt
The tables turned, and the lion now became the prey
A man with a long gun was out to slay
This regal feline, the king of beasts
His bullet ready to be released
The hunter followed the lion's roar
As deeper into the bush he went
And when the lion roar was heard no more
The man's senses sharpened in the uneasy silence
He looked around, but still no sound
He began moving with the stealth of a cat
But his big boot snapped a twig on the ground
And startled birds flew from their lofty habitat
He watched them as they flew away
Blaming himself for not being adept
He was unaware that he was now the prey
As behind him the lion leapt!
