The Guys
The Guys
(For J & J)

I'm here to tell the story
About a couple guys
May mislead you just a little
But won't tell you any lies
They really loved each other
To be together for a life
Thought that they would tie the knot
Become a husband and a wife
Wondered who would wear the pants
Who would clean the house and cook
They both had jobs they wanted
Would do anything it took
Should they keep their love a secret
From the bosses at their work
Some frown on guys who marry
One of them might be that jerk
They took the leap and did it
Damn what other people think
Said their vows an I do's too
Popped the cork and took the drink
After many years together
Still look into each other's eyes
She took his name so long ago
Since then they've been the Guys
I'm not sorry I misled you
By now you've realized
That for this story the G in guys
Should be always capitalized
