The Gun Beneath My Bed
I found a gun beneath my bed
in black it waited, eager still
to greet me, hearing deep the bells.
The form; a book, to fill my head,
awaken sleepy things. My hell
has ended, heavy clinging till
the words arose before the dead;
and cleansing eyes the gun I read.
