The Green Man Blue cap Green shirt Kaki trousers And black shoes Underneath I don’t know Could be green His fave He hefts the cap He smile exposing The milky teeth The snowish teeth and The coalish gums show The classicla dilemma of White and black Grasps the English-colour pants Glares and On my hickory table He sees Seductive butterfly Birdwing butterfly Prominently green The colour seduces him more The green man! “Good afternoon,” he says “I mean the butterfly!” Green man lives And loves Wants to fly Like butterfly Free!
