The Great Pretender
What’s behind that title that you’ve placed upon yourself?
Strutting with your head up high and the Bible laying on the shelf.
Doing your best to paint a picture that all in life is well.
When all along you know deep within everything is going to hell.
Why on earth can’t you be real and tell the truth my friend.
Why live a lie from day to day and continue to live in sin.
Telling people on the job something that you’re not.
Oh my friend take off the mask and end this senseless plot.
I just can’t seem to comprehend why you play these games?
One day the truth will blow up in your face and who will be the blame?
