The Golden Light of Evening

The Golden Light Of Evening In the golden light of evening when the day is letting go I sit among the shadows and watch the fires' grow. Bewitched, it's beauty lures me, like a sirens' song it calls to embrace me with it's loveliness as evenings curtain falls. With a sigh I let it take me where it leads me I will go for I am promised rapture within its' amber glow. Basking in the shining glory of this heavenly display from my weary heart is lifted all my burdens of the day. Then as the suns last brilliant rays prepare for final flight it reaches out with lovers arms to kiss the world goodnight. Held captive by this beauty my sorrows fade away and I have gained the treasure of the golden end of day.

such a beautiful and warm piece of well written poetry. thank you for reading Farewell Yankee Staduim and for your comment. Joe DiMaggio wow, what a thrill that must have been for your mom, Joe was one of the best ball players around who had that affect on people Ted Williams was great, but Joe had Grace that flowed all over him, and what a gentleman. M. Monroe did to him was a shame.
