The Gold of Fools

Like a soul, to the devil sold, fools gold is old Its always there, like a wishful thinking marital affair But who is fooling the who out there Drink invites the courage of the Dutch, its said Do not let the she siren into your head, or your bed Otherwise the warmth that is already within, so nice Will turn colder and colder then freeze, like ice Like a soul to the devil sold, its false, worthless, be bold Better to mend a relationship that has slipped a few rules Than to take the false gold that tricks only fools Like a mirage in the desert air There is no reality there The vows of the marriage verse For richer, for poorer, for better, for worse Marriage is not a dead end street Its a ring road where two hearts will meet 16 November 2016
