The Girl I Used To Be

If you’re looking for the girl I used to be, she is gone. Never to be seen again. She is from an easier life, a past life. The girl you see now is the one she has become. She has become me. She is stronger, harder, tougher. She is colder, angrier. The girl I used to be is still a part of me. I still cry. I still hurt. I still want. I still feel. I still wish. I still hope. I still want to dream, but as it seems, I cannot. The girl that had dreams is gone. She is now the girl of reality, running from the truth. The sweet little innocent, perfect, beautiful, harmless, Saint of a girl is gone. I am here now. Full of fury. Full of rage. Harmless, but tempted.
