The Gift of Repentance

Thank you Lord for drawing me near and opening my eyes to see; The sin in which my heart was enslaved and in great need to be set free. The gift of repentance is truly a gift; For by it I know Your Spirit is in me, as He brings me to sorrow over my sin, and turns the eyes of my heart towards Thee. It is You the only One and True that can set a prisoner free; Little by little showing me my sin, and little by little changing me. So as I live my life abiding in You, and You abiding in me; May I find joy in repentance for by it I know, Your Spirit is living in me!
