The Gift of Elevation

It is a lonely existence, which came with this thing I desired and was given freely I wanted to be lifted above the ordinary and mundane plane of reality This gift, which was given to me free, spiritually elevated me Now the things revealed, the things I see, has transformed me into a into a new, breathing entity This is what the gift of elevation has done for me But it is a lonely existence, very lonely On this higher plane of consciousness, very few transverse this holy space O that I had a mate who would love to live in this special elevated place The few souls I have encountered in this rare heightened existence, we welcome each other's company We greet, commune ... break bread and eat Food for the soul We pass along knowledge we've gleaned, we converse on ubiquitously complex things ... musings rarely spoken on, things rarely seen Then we part company, go our separate way, with an implicit understanding that God has placed us each on a path, and there we must stay For the most part, it is such a lonely existence So I let the stillness be my mate An elevated consciousness will help create the missing component needed for my fragile, temporal state On this higher plane of consciousness, former memories of negativity, like butterflies ... they all flutter away Only pure enlightenment remains, just spiritually evolving is sustained So it is with the gift of elevation Searching evermore for where lies the next mystery, yet to be revealed Reaching for the hidden wisdom, that is higher above me, still well concealed The gift of spiritual elevation will keep elevating me, as long as I abide in God's will
