The Gift
Chestnut hair cascades over her shoulders
Framing a most delightful face
She has a way of lighting up a room
Today is a truly special day
Framing a most delightful face
A gift from a girl she has never met
Today is a truly special day
This kindness takes so much pain away
A gift from a girl she has never met
Each inch of hair was grown with love
This kindness takes so much pain away
Once again she feels so beautiful
Each inch of hair was grown with love
She imagines that other girls face
Once again she feels so beautiful
She wishes she could give that girl a hug
She imagines that other girls face
Does she also have dark brown eyes?
She wishes she could give that girl a hug
A single tear rolls down her cheek
Does she also have dark brown eyes?
She has a way of lighting up a room
A single tear rolls down her cheek
Chestnut hair cascades over her shoulders
I dedicate this poem to you Kristelle, your aunt Eileen is very
proud of you. I hope you enjoy my book, it has travelled
a long distance to make its way into your hands. I hope you
enjoy my journey. Blessing to you from Canada.
P.S. Kristelle, I am sure whoever receives
your gift will be truly blessed by it.
