The Gift

Chestnut hair cascades over her shoulders Framing a most delightful face She has a way of lighting up a room Today is a truly special day Framing a most delightful face A gift from a girl she has never met Today is a truly special day This kindness takes so much pain away A gift from a girl she has never met Each inch of hair was grown with love This kindness takes so much pain away Once again she feels so beautiful Each inch of hair was grown with love She imagines that other girls face Once again she feels so beautiful She wishes she could give that girl a hug She imagines that other girls face Does she also have dark brown eyes? She wishes she could give that girl a hug A single tear rolls down her cheek Does she also have dark brown eyes? She has a way of lighting up a room A single tear rolls down her cheek Chestnut hair cascades over her shoulders I dedicate this poem to you Kristelle, your aunt Eileen is very proud of you. I hope you enjoy my book, it has travelled a long distance to make its way into your hands. I hope you enjoy my journey. Blessing to you from Canada. P.S. Kristelle, I am sure whoever receives your gift will be truly blessed by it. Written: February 27, 2014 By: Richard Lamoureux

Im floored too...what an amazing thing...for both of you...and I'm not too into all these new gadgets and fast progress but these situations where such nice people can find and help each other across the world is nothing short of a miracle and God bless you Richard

Actually this was rather low tech, Eileen ordered three copies of my book and I sent them to Lebanon. She didn't get me to sign one of them sobI wrote this poem for her niece to personalize the book for her. I guess her getting the poem is pretty high tech. Thanks for the thoughtful comment Donna.

Oh, how lovely and deep. So glad I stopped by your page today, Richard. This poem touched me on many levels... as did your gift sent across the ocean. How wonderful. Canadian, eh? If you keep it up they'll think they are all gentlemen here, like you! Cheers and smiles from Cyndi

Thanks Cyndi, yes I am Canadian. Originally from your city Kitchener. My mom and sister still live there so I do get back home from time to time. I'm pleased you enjoyed my poem.

Oh...one thing. Her name is Kristelle...Would you just mind changing the spelling. I'm sorry...I must have sent it to you that way. If you change it...I can print it off and put it in the book before I gift wrap it. OH OH OH...I'm SO excited. Her Mum's Canadian, you know....From your area...Kelowna. Kristelle has Canadian nationality as well. They all know about you cause I've told them all about ya. Periodically, they ask how you are. Isn't this awesome!
