The Gate
The gate opened just a crack!
Revealing my alternate reality.
I was not meant for a world of concrete.
Trudging along materialistic highways.
Revealing my alternate reality.
A pathway to my epiphany.
Trudging along materialistic highways.
My energy sapped chasing the temporary.
A pathway to my epiphany.
This required leaving my lesser self behind.
My energy sapped chasing the temporary.
Now I can finally smell the flowers.
This required leaving my lesser self behind.
Discovering the man I was born to be.
Now I can finally smell the flowers.
Concrete and muck scraped off of me.
Discovering the man I was meant to be.
In the end a pleasant surprise.
Concrete and muck scraped off of me.
A part of nature I now can breathe.
In the end a pleasant surprise.
I was not meant for a world of concrete.
A part of nature I now can breathe.
The gate opened just a crack!
