The Garden Man My man is in the garden. He is planting and watering the new seeds we just got. They are wonderful carrots, of different colors, purple, and white and gold. He has already planted, corn, and tomatoes, potatoes, and sunflower seeds, among the weeds. That is okay, I am here to say, without regret, do not fret... the unwanted foliage has a wonderful use, for chickens, and quail... that wail for fresh greens, and lovely beans. Nothing is wasted here. Not time, nor food, nor resources. All are a part of the whole. The sky above, the earth below, Jesus inside, and beside us... always. Heaven.

We all need to find our way back to the garden. The earth was once one big garden I think. Unfortunately we learned how to mix concrete. Thankfully there are still a few of us who see value in their garden. Thirty years ago ours was a bare patch but now an eco-system on a smaller scale. Gardening is a family topic and our eldest daughter is just as keen on her patch at the end of our street. Your poem works on so many levels, and should bare fruit for at least on reader.
