The Forest's Only Path

As I drift along the forest, I see a dark path/ Little do I know, the darkness is light itself/ I wander to the side of the path, escaping all that scares me/ All that terrifies me, all the hardships, all the possible lessons/ I've travelled down many like that, possibly even darker/ Quickly my mind takes me to the land where we only visit asleep/ I feel a different vibe, my surroundings are different/ What is altering me? What is this feeling?/ Feels so similar to that of... "No, I must never have that feeling again."/ I yell, my heart aches, my temples are imploding/ Why didn't I travel down that path/ It maybe would be the last one I'd have to face alone.
