The Forest Fairy
I dreamt that as I wandered in my dreamy dream,
My bleakness turned into utter beauty;
Sweet scents led my steps to meander the green,
Where all the murmurings mingled with a stream;
And under a canopy of trees a forest fairy lives.
Among the wildflowers, violets and Shasta daisies,
She has made her sweet fairy forest home;
The tangled leaves and blooms her sheltering dome,
She is fairer than anything I have ever seen;
As she protects the forest's flowers and green.
So tiny and delicate she flutters all the night,
Her gossamer wings a whirl with beautiful shimmering;
She dusts each growing thing with her sweet fairy dust,
So that my dream forest will ever bloom;
Within my dreamy fairy dream each night.
