The Fool

So, You'd like to have it all?

chaser of love, foolish girl

It seems you've never learned...the days simply advance your youthful yearning
your hopes have failed you

yea,you've never learned

you're cold as stoned winter night...your appearance is a deceitful one
She is Eden's evil....

A fool to be fearsome of lonesome matter how few and far they may be

You'd like to have it all....

Can't say you deserve it

Your heart has failed you time again...

blind is the one with desperate lust for love's ideals

Your youth has failed you time and time again

What an amazing perspective of "Eden's evil," Kalonji! I love the chastising tone in this poem -- foolish girl who thinks she should "have it all." Awesome! Love, carolyn

Deborah is right, Kalonji! The word EVIL comes from EVE, A man-machism-sexism-made word to blame women. However, this poem is brilliant. Keep on sharing. Ruben.

quite a perspective..yet don't blame the mythical Eve....Adam didn't have to be a moron did he? Woman is not sin ominous with evil, thats just man looking for an out! Good verse if not for the negative woman bashing. Yes, I'm touchy.
