The Fog

The fog, the fog is everywhere. It covers land and sea. It's like the clouds have fallen down surrounding you and me. We're in a box of nature's making, cut off from everything bright. The fog's moved in and smothered all. There is nothing but grey in sight. The view has disappeared from here as a dampness fills the air. Grey is such a lonely colour. The fog, the fog is everywhere. The view is gone, it's gone away. There's nothing left to see. The fog, the fog is everywhere surrounding you and me.

Like being separated from the clamor of life. I love the silence of fog as it envelopes and caresses in such a magical way. Do you get much out where you are? Wonderful poem to enjoy, Love, Elizabeth

Very nice rhyming. I thought it was well written. I'm a sun person. The only best part of fog is when it starts to disperse and the sun begins to appear. Thank you for sharing you poem.

As I read your poem I remembered Carl Sandburg's poem "Fog". I love your poem because it rhymes. Well done!
