The First Grey Hair

One fine morning, it greeted me in a mirror look, A startling shade of grey, Keeping all courtesy a bay i refrained greeting the intrusion !! Intrusion on my ignorance of flight of time and Cost of age A little later it changed colour, From grey it evolved to a glittering white Catching all deprived attention Tempted often was I to uproot it and defy its being Or change its complexion to a darker black Held myself and said, shall welcome it with a silver smile Let it alone for a solitary while, Now its desolation ceases to exist With a company of other few A family of whites have come to stay In a place vacated by youth!! I promise to keep their entity intact Age gracefully as their number grows... @ ‘dusk’.....
