The Final Shower
The Final Shower
Apprehensively the valve is turned,
Thoughts race through my head.
The icy liquid hits my skin,
Overwhelming emotions.
Goose bumps await warmth,
My heart races, pounds.
My soul anticipates calm,
Anguish, hurt, despair, consume me.
Water encompasses my body,
Rationally I contemplate Karma.
Soapy lather smells of lavender,
Temperatures reach scalding.
Vapours cleanse my psyche,
The grime, disappointment, washed away.
Refreshed with positive outlooks,
I turn off the tap, step out....Closure.
