Author's Notes: "The Final Dance," is a Rhyme Royal I wrote and set in Iambic Pentameter. This write touches on the oft-discussed topic of "Death." I pursued a theme of expected reality that all of us face eventually in our respective lives when it's time for us to shed our "moral coil," and to move on to the ethereal world of soul transformation, light, angels, and God Himself. My point with this specialty poem was to poetically highlight the shared common destiny that all of us will eventually face during our finite life existence on Earth. Something to think about!! The Final Dance Death is that final dance we face in life, He comes for us whether one’s young or old, Courage is the answer to this sad strife, Which means fear not this specter—be ye bold! And prepare now your soul as God has told; Death appears dark as Heaven’s light shines bright; Angels bear ye now so true in God’s light! Thanks Anne-Lise!! I certainly agree with you about the lonely dance part of "Death" in general. Often society in general, people, and various circumstances can get directly in the way of how people are treated and end up leaving this earthly world.
