The Female Paradox

The enigma that is woman, Intrigues the mind of man, But there are many dangers, In this universal plan. The company of women, we all agree is fun, Man struggles however when he loves but only one. She smiles upon you brightly, That smile outshines the sun, You take it for a green light, you should have just stayed dumb. You spend a lifetime, learning, how to please, the hard to please, You think you’ve got the hang of it, and then, you’re on your knees, But life would be so boring, if you knew just where you stood, And when she says it’s you she loves, it makes you feel so good. That doesn’t happen often, or complacency would rule, So the game of what she’s thinking, still dominate your thought, So be careful if she asks you, “In this do I look cool” It’s a trap set for the Wary, make sure you don’t get caught. If only you could have a guide on the rationale of women, But no one is there brave enough, to pen that contradiction; The contradictory nature, of the female by your side, Does not mean, you are immature, don’t let it dent your pride. A man’s place is in the wrong, I think I have that right, At least that’s what she told me, just the other night. Poetry paradoxically, man finds to be sublime, He can eschew, the logical view, and express himself in rhyme.
