The Favoured Son
The story of the devil
is the story of all men
we make mistakes
the favoured son
Given to much
the son becomes spoiled
believing everything
they say
We allow them
to get away with lies
the spoiled child
will twist the knife of hate
Thinking they above the rest
knowing you are in their pocket
they attack
knowing you will support their faults
There is only one way
My way or the highway
the child making demands
breaking toys
knowing you are blind to their faults
God favoured the devil
treated the devil as his favourite son
the devil came to believe
That he was better than God
the spoiled son
the favoured child
blind to their faults
we fail to punish their mistakes
we fail to push them to succeed
we put them above others
I watched as Jason refused to go to school
his Grand mother supported him
he was allowed to stay at home
other kids questioned his desire to play
when school was over
punching then his mother as support
punished the child that had been punched
Jason grew up to lie
the spoiled son
you do your child no favour
all people should be treated equal
and yet they're not
treated equal expecting fair they learn to share
the favoured son turned against God
thinking himself better he fought for power
you are not good enough he said
I should have the power
God created the Devil
God favoured the Devil
God believed in the Devil
only one hour before the fight began
We put our heart and soul
into caring for our children
and then within a heartbeat
their actions can change your life forever
