The Fault Line
When the truth was spoken, the brutal battle began.
Shaking the ground, causing the fault line.
They held on tightly to the fake foundation like paper.
As if they could make it last, maybe keep things light.
They denied the pain, the past, buried in every crevice.
But the fault line remains, silently waits underneath all the lies.
One day the earth will shake beyond their control.
With boulders of truth rolling across the paths of their lives.
There will be no more fake foundation, no hiding place around.
Only scattered pieces of facts blown, spread upon broken ground
To see in the face of the inevitable quake from false premises.
