The Fate of the Romans
fish run through the water to perish. carrying life to the basin. the river’s forthcoming. the entrance to man’s dancing on the rocks, sprinkled as a trail. the romans set stronger stones. built a coliseum that remains. who killed caesar? cobblestone tracks, rough and demanding, are our sovereignty. copied. democracy copied. dying.
fate planned by moments. shoved and dragged by opportunity. swinging from the sky by strands. an angel’s wing exclaims, “destiny is an unsettled promise”. a delusion, and not by casualty. sent to mankind by our own invention. the formulation of a god and government.
