The Family Tree
We humans all are of a finite state,
We live for today, tomorrow can wait.
We spent yesterday planning for tomorrow,
We sadly find that tomorrow's another today.
We think we know all about life on earth,
We live as if we are immortal from birth.
We see others around us fall and die,
We never think it could be you or I.
We may, one day, realise our mistake,
We can , hopefully, a new way take.
We need a new way, can you not see?
We are simply a branch of a great family tree.
We, one day, will be the ancestors searched for,
We became their descendants, after us will come more.
