The Fall Sun
The sun is magnificent in the western sky tonight
As amber hues are cast upon the southbound road
A beauty of light descends upon this body of land
Stories of a more beautiful sunset can never be told.
I sit here entranced by the brilliance, the brightness,
Allowing myself to take refuge in the haven of light.
Knowing, saying, that there’s nothing more wonderful
Then the passing of day as the sun says goodnight.
I sit in wonder as the sun bows down into slumber.
Just what it will the bright orb bring, tomorrow, for all?
For now, though, I will take pleasure in the knowing
Of the sun’s radiance, it’s beauty, this warm night in Fall.
