The Fall Proposal

The foliage resembles you more than me, As I hold you under this sycamore tree, Your vibrant smile dims out the countless shades, Your ocean filled eyes makes all else fade, Just like the fire place inside that is burning, My heart is a flame that is constantly yearning, If God knows every sparrow that falls from the sky, Then he must know that this is the perfect day for you and I, As the leaves quietly dance around your porcelain face, I long to have more than just a seasonal taste, Suddenly, as the breeze picks up in pace, On one knee I proclaim my love in this place.
