there she was staring at nothing in the dark, searching searching for some kind of light something familiar that she could cling to all she could grasp was emptiness they were laughing, sharing special moments without her - don’t they miss me? I thought I meant something all along I was just there - faceless in the crowd where everyone knows everyone except for me - why don’t they miss me? does it mean that I am here? but they can’t see me? I was never an integral part just made up the numbers the one who got lost - the faceless one… 070820112025

Oohoohoo This one fits so many people. So many of us who are just there but not really needed or wanted. When one feels this way one needs to get away from that particular place and find their own niche. You must mean something and be of some value to yourself before you can be valued by anyone else. Great job here. God Bless, JB

Sounds like city living. Being there is like we don't matter. Your verse describes the feeling perfectly Wilma.

Interesting one..Enjoyed..Sometimes we all feel that we are that faceless one that will not be missed by even our family..I know that this was just a topic and that you are loved and would be missed by your family and friends..Thanks for looking back and seeing the added feature..Sara

Wow, strong write here, Wilma. I know it can't be autobiographical as everyone would notice a bubbly person like you! A winner for sure, if for a contest. lfde

Dear Wilma, you express the lonely, empty feeling with such angst. A sad but lovely verse.

I felt this poem was about a faceless person, not a ghost or the like...an actual person who feels neglected, unwanted and unappreciated. Very very well written! I really loved it!!
