The Fabric of Summer

With melancholic fortitude I suffer Summer's threadbare wane Though just a stitch of Autumn's gown Shows through these tepid, shorter days The weave of sultry memories Drapes warm nostalgia on my heart I'll wear this paling green till frost 07 Sep 2019

this is one of the best i've seen so far for the contest; i love the whole fabric/clothing idea because it's a very original take on the theme - good luck in the contest but i don't think you'll need it!

This is so cleverly constructed,David. I love the 'clothing' theme woven throughout with verbs and nouns and the title is a perfect fit. Some wonderful 'touches'. I really enjoyed reading it.
