The Escape
She was never more beautiful then she was the night
She stepped out of the castle in the gentle moon light
And let her tiny feet carry her far away
From life that she lived in chains every day
She moved through the fields without a sound
With heart beating fast she would never turn back around
No longer a captive-tonight she was free
Never back in chains would she ever be
She whispered this timidly to the stars in the sky
And they answered back giving her the desire to fly
And the she spread her wings-the ones she had never seen
And left the darkness behind-forever freed
