The Equilibrium
Where you walk upon this path
Set between each moment of deliberation
The seconds in contestant; expound
In each grain of sand the footprint of your passing
Ire; it is on confounding thoughts, and speculation
Brings the sole of your feet, to naught
And you wondered, as you wandered, between the fences and boundaries
Who set those gates, those barriers, you always seek to pass
Did you extol them in electric fingertips
Say you should quiver so ecstatic on the burdens of their sensual-ness
Or did you, in your harness of dreams, speak with them
A language of succinct soul and tempo esoteric
?
I am ground to dust, by joy
And between the mill stones of hate and love
Should I find the grist to give me an anchor
On which terminology should I cling to dust in dust
Do you know the passion behind your lips
As it trembles within their million cells
While processed in aching poignancy; transcribes
To your in drawn breath, at the speed of light
It is a searing moment, etched, upon your soul
As from it, to you and through, you; it flows
And every ounce of it’s consequence
You could not write, though it take a billion years
To describe the word, you felt
Where you walk upon this path
Set between each moment of deliberation
The seconds in contestant; expound
In each grain of sand the footprint of your passing
And I am ground to dust, by joy
