The Entrance
The Entrance
The yard is lit with sun covered yellow leaves.
The day is warm and reaches my heart.
The acorns fall with a sudden bang!
Striking the metal roof and out of my thoughts.
I slowly return to my quiet moment to cherish.
Where I can toss memories like leaves to the wind.
Choose the ones that will make this day special.
Just when I think some things will never change
Something new knocks at my door in this life
And onward I go like the leaves changing color
To the entrance of the next beautiful season.
