didn't you see it? my sheer adoration how happy I was around you the childlike giddiness like a 5-year-old who wanted more demanding more naively trusting you the older sibling or priest-like figure who indulged me swept me away and left me like a child lost at an amusement park abandoned by the person she cared about most
