The End of the Beginning
The end of the beginning
when I'm no
longer surprised
to find you nestled against me
cocooned in our warm bed
in the cold light of early morning.
Pressing myself against
your nether cheeks,
I palm your breasts
and toy with erect nipples,
then sigh
as I realize
our four year old
has joined us in bed
again.
