The End of Summer

The gush and glee Of summer therapy Sieged me, in her Carefree ascension. That goddess sun Possessed me, warmed my wings, healed my soul, Drained the sadness out of me. We linked like lovers In a sacred field of flowers Until I stumbled, she needs To be free, she left me… A few last halcyon days, to know She loved me in her beautiful way.
