The End Is Near
Air is Thick, room full of tension
five days left, will I get the invention.
Two years making, what a roller coaster ride.
So many details, the paperwork, the nights I cried.
People think I've gone mad, others think I'm smart
wake up trembling, if I sleep, wondering where to start?
It may get a patent, make whole lot of money
could read it, laugh, that wouldn't be funny.
Could be totally new, thought of it first
don't know what I got, what to do, can't get any worse.
Games about over, don't know if I won
Won't sleep, eat, crack a smile, it will get done.
No telling how the story ends or what I'll get
Pretty sure no one will say I gave up and quit.
Probably be broke, without money, not have a friend
the only thing I know, can't wait to do it again.
