The Empty Chair

10 Oct 2017 2:12 pm If chairs could talk what tales they would tell Of tears of joy and tears of pain from those who cared to sit a spell Look at your empty chairs And remember those who have sat there A spirit of rememberance will slowly fill your mind You will start to see visions as your heart travels through time Smiling as you see Aunts, Uncles cousins and brother and siss Sitting there laughing and drinking coffee as they reminisce A tear will fall from a well of bitterness From things that were said in anger and trespass Never just look at an empty chair But do look and imagine and see who was there
