The Elitist's Bliss

How far we've come, they like to claim. To more than some, so much the same. Stand up, applaud, u must be proud! But how when bias screams so loud? People look, open your eyes; this dish is still a plate of lies. Oh, back then it was a bias-filled nightmarish life to have to live; Colors, race, religion drilled, Untold souls their last breaths did give To fight and beg for equality throughout all of humanity. Are you paying heed? Is your conscience dead? Watch thirst and greed trick-turn in your head. You just construct one more excuse to prey upon those whom believe unlike your way. What an ugly cloak tis vanity. Twirl and flash it stylishly. Though what you show to all is bigotry. The universe sees the horrific game; shed the denial. In the mirror, shame.
