The Elephant By Franklin Price 3/2/2016 The elephant, the animal The mascot of the red A party controlled by very few Filling the people up with dread They let a famous person run As a Republican, a joke Would capture all the media But not be voted by the folk Surprise, surprise did not work out The people had their say They chose the joke by voting Did not vote the party way Now the party's scrambling Bad mouthing all they can To negate the population's vote For the joke, who's now the man The elephant's resigning The replacement is the pig Who wallows deeper in the mud Provides the pork the party digs
