The Earth Lives (Gothika: the Musical)
[MAKATA]
When the rain falls, from the world above
It brings light, it brings life.
The world needs the power, The world needs the strength
We need to give and live the life of earth.
[RIGOTI]
When the light shed on this place
A new world is born
It may not be the same
But a new coat of life is worn
[BOTH]
The earth lives in you, and me.
It shines for all to see.
It’s a gift from the gods, who conquer all the odds
By giving us life.
The earth lives in you, and me
It makes us family.
The roots of the trees run through our veins
And makes us all the same.
[HORALIUS]
In times I feared that life would end,
I never knew what could be
I wanted to live, I wanted to give
I couldn’t find the power in me
But now the earth conquered the odds
With the help from the gods,
The life of earth continues to grow
And so the end will never be known.
[ALL THREE]
The earth lives in you, and me.
It shines for all to see.
It’s a gift from the gods, who conquer all the odds
By giving us life.
The earth lives in you, and me
It makes us family.
The roots of the trees run through our veins
And makes us all the same.
[CHORUS]
A choice must be made, You cant be afraid
Today is the day, You know the way
Look in your mind, you’re one of a kind
You’ve made your choice, now lift up your voice…
[ALL] [MAKATA]
The earth lives in you, It lives in you, and me.
It shines for all to see. Shining for the world to see.
It’s a gift from the gods, who conquer all the odds… A gift from the gods, to…
Conquer the odds…
[ALL]
By giving us life
[ALL] [MAKATA]
The earth lives in you, and me You, and me.
It makes us family. We are family.
The roots of the tree run through our veins Yes, it runs through our veins
And make us all the same We are all the same.
[MAKATA]
Give life to those in need.
Give water to the seed.
In order to get, you give
Because…
[ALL]
…the…earth…lives.
