The Earnest Quality Within
The earnest quality within
Of sun parched reckoning
Where shall this line begin
Perhaps at the end
Of days gladly spent
Of falling light replace
That of dreamy starlight grace
To scratch upon the stone
To dip the quill alone
And now yet silence once again
O' the ernest quality within
