The Drifter
I am a drifter.
Place to place
To Find a peaceful valley.
I want to lay down my sword,
Stop fighting for a peace that shall never come.
Drift find food and water.
Drift keeping ahead of my enemies.
Drift looking for a world lush and green,
Not blood and battle ridden.
I am a lost soul slain in a battle, fighting for my country.
I am the spirit of peace and harmony, the spirit who guards the soldiers of today.
You may have seen me; you may not ever see me.
For if you stay off the fighting grounds we shall never meet.
You will live a long and plentiful life, if you never enter the grim aspect of war.
You will not drift as I.
