The Dream
An emptiness engulfed my dreams
Lost echoes chilling, cascading like streams.
Your face was hidden in the shade of my memory’s embrace
The shadows were dancing like pure silk lace.
The Pounding of my heart like the beating of drums
Calculating the mistakes doing the sums.
The horses tails whipped your face
What are you doing, here in my space?
They are protective and kind to my plight
Don’t come in my dreams on this awesome night.
The lace whispered kind words to my ears
It has always been gently to me all these years.
Alas you are covered in doubt and fears
Fall upon face your crocodile tears.
You came in my dreams this glorious night
And I am just writing to say I am alright!
