The Dragon

If you take a look not to high up in the sky, On a moonlit night you will see a dragon fly. He flies beneath the shadows where he cannot be seen, If only he could talk and tell us where he had been. He longs to fly higher, spread his wings and glide. But he must never be caught,so down here he will hide. Feared by many, yet loved by so few, The main reason for this he just never knew. The stories that were told of yesteryear hang on, Back when dragons were hunted until almost all were gone. His father warned him of the hunters named man, Bigger than humans, they just didn't understand. One day he will be free,he will be able to fly high, Then everyone will see him the dragon in the sky.
