The Divine Knock
Having a quiet night at home
sitting contemplating life as it is
not a lot happening so I thought
a knock I thought or mayne a miss
So I went to see who it was
there was a lightness at the door
opening dazzled by shining light
left me stunned flat on floor
I realised this indeed is God's son
Jesus was before me truly amazing!
thinks I this house in awful state
certainly not fit for the risen king
But the Lord knew my thoughts
so softly the saviour spoke it's fine
I'm here to hear from you honestly am
not to see youe abode cause you're mine
The Lord assured me about my heart
it's been transformed by God's grace
through life's journey sanctifying me
giving His word to work on my case
Lord help me know how to really pray
lacking faith hasving doubts feeling weak
so often I'm so up and too often down
don't worry Jesus said all's not so bleak
Remember I'll hear you at any time
then I perfect your prayer simply divine
so it goes heavenwards to my father
who knows His will for all mankind
So time comes for Jesus to go
His parting words promise I'm with you
always until this earth's wrapped up
then in heaven you'll be perfect anew
(somethoughts if Jesus was to come knocking literally at my door)
