The Deserted King

All in my life was owed to you Not a moment did I ever have a clue That with love comes deceit, treachery and all feelings untrue This is the lamentation of a deserted king With all the pain, dismay and confusion that it brings The drums of love were all for you Come rain, come sunshine even when the sky seized to be blue That with true love and infatuation, my queen will never be new, This is the lamentation of a deserted king, My heart bleeds and sprouts more than it stings All in my thoughts was the beauty of a queen, With warmth and peace deep rooted to the spleen, That the darkness and fear once thought to be fresh and green, This is the lamentation of a deserted king, Forever you are gone and there is nothing I can sing
