The Day Before

Why did I not listen to my jangling nerves the day before? Why did I ignore the sensation of tips of fingers on fire the day before? Why did I not slip off my rose-tinted glasses to see what really lay ahead of me the day before? My body and mind were screaming at me "DON'T DO IT!!" the day before I wed.

WOW, regrets...life is one of choices. I sometimes ignore that voice and sometimes it does as you described, the voice screams and you do it anyway. I am not sure why. Say how you feel, think before you act, find your passion, love with every ounce of you, stand up for what you believe in, don’t settle and never apologize for who you are...remember balance is important. Thank you for sharing ~ Peace :)

Thank you Edward. Dad used to say...".Be yoursel." I made the choice to marry him because I was 27 years old and wanted to start making babies. In Ireland at that time, 30 years ago, single mothers had blood taken post delivery to check if they had syphilis,(not married women), such was the disgrace. I was prepared to work hard at the marriage. He wasn't. C'est la vie.
